This short course is intended to allows those without formal photographic training, who practice in the field of Forensic Collision Investigation or Vehicle Examination, to consolidate their understanding and enhance their technique. Working from the ground up this course involves a balance of photographic theory and practical equipment use. Photography really is a ‘learn by doing’ subject and so the more time spent with camera in hand the better.
On top of equipment orientation and general photographic principals that can be applied to most situations, this course will cover collision scene photography, vehicle examination photography including overall vehicles as well as individual components, macro photography, night and low light photography.
This course is aimed at what can be achieved on-camera and therefore does not include post processing software use.
There is a pre-read for this course.
Current generation Nikon photographic equipment will be provided, but feel free to bring your own camera if you have one you particularly enjoy using.
You will submit a portfolio of photographs for assessment.
None, successful students will receive an AiTS certificate.
The course runs once a year at our South Cerney training centre. To book contact AiTS.
